You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago.

Licence Plate Wall

Licence Plate Wall

Noel (I believe), Missouri

This is the coolest display I’ve seen on the trip. I’ve seen a few other places like this along the trip, but nothing compares to this. There must be a few thousand license plates. I didn’t see one from Michigan, obviously most of them were from MIssouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Thanks, to whoever made this masterpiece. I’m not sure if I’ve seen all 50 licence plates yet, but I will eventually. I did see an Alaska plate in Arkansas, that’s a long ways away. I love licence plates, they mean a lot on this trip. And thanks mom, for making a beautiful quilt for the tour with all the state plates.

I had a Michigan License plate (MSU 48)and on our way to Alaska in May 2006, we stopped in Watson Lake, Yukon Territory and at the vistors center they had thousands of plates nailed on posts and I nailed up my MSU 48 place. If you get a chance you should try to see this. It is really something. Good Luck on your tour of the states. Bob Brittain
